Jesus said, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near" (Mark 1:15 NRSV). The Church is a community that strives to embody that statement. The time truly is fulfilled for those who commit themselves to following Christ and work to build God's kingdom of love, peace, and justice here on earth as it is in heaven. We need one another to build that kingdom. We all have our strengths and weaknesses, and part of being an effective church is recognizing those strengths and weaknesses in ourselves and in others, then having the grace to love and accept ourselves and others despite our weaknesses. A church grows under the umbrella of love and grace, becoming more loving and forgiving of ourselves and others. That love and grace then spills over into the community-at-large as we work to better the lives of others. I invite you to come join our community, a community that is far from perfect but is always being transformed by God's Spirit, a community that is committed to serve our Lord as we serve others.
