Bethel Church is currently collecting Christmas gifts for the following ministries:
Anchor House in Brooklyn Project Hospitality Toys for Tots Love Baskets
You may bring your donations to the church. For a list of items being collected for these ministries, click here.
Local and Global Missions The people of Bethel regularly participate in both local and global mission. We have been active in disaster relief and recovery locally from Hurricane Sandy and in Texas from Hurricane Harvey. We have participated in missions to Haiti as well. If you are interested in helping with disaster relief or joining a mission team, local or global, please email the pastor or call the church (718-984-1277).
South Shore Food Pantry Bethel supports the food pantry organized by our sister church, St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Non-perishable donations are accepted anytime and may be left in the food bin just inside the left front door - the bin is to the left. Donations are regularly delivered to the food pantry.
Meals for PH Intake Center Every other month, the folks of Bethel coordinate, prepare, and serve a meal (to feed 75) to the clients of Project Hospitality's intake center. We are always looking for new volunteers to help with this ministry.
Project Hospitality Mobile Pantry The Project Hospitality Mobile Food Pantry stops by Bethel Church every Tuesday (except holidays) from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. offering free groceries (including fresh fruits and vegetables) to anyone in need.
Ministry to the Homeless Bethel Church, in partnership with Project Hospitality, provides a place to sleep for some of our friends who are without a permanent home. Friday night is Hospitality Night at the church, and we provide refreshments and a movie to our guests in our effort to make them feel more "at home." There are also a variety of other Project Hospitality initiatives that Bethel supports throughout the year such as clothing drives, toy drives, and fundraisers. For more information about Project Hospitality visit the Project Hospitality Website.
Fellowship Hour Few pleasures exceed that of Christian fellowship. After every worship service we enjoy chatting over food and beverages, and we invite you to bring something! Just let us know what you plan to bring by emailing or calling us (718-984-1277)
